Students are working on Frosty Phenotypes as part of our unit on Heredity. We will be examining Traits Thursday and Friday. Students will have a Test on Punnett Squares Wednesday. The test will be five questions based on the "Spongebob Genetics" activity we did in class Friday and Monday.
Biology
Chapter 8 Sections 2 and 3 are the focus for the week. Students will read and answer questions about the cell cycle and mitosis on Monday and Tuesday. Students will view a Biologix video about the Cell Cycle and Mitosis on Tuesday. Following the video, students will begin creating a mitosis flip book. This will be done in class and is due by Friday. We will also complete a reading "'Mitosis is one key to curing cancer". Students will have a 13 question quiz on Mitosis and Cancer on Friday.
Please remember to work on your Cell Organelle projects. They are due Monday, Dec. 1.

The Virus Cereal Boxes were fabulous! I am so proud of the work the 7th grade did for this project. I learned many new things about viruses as I'm sure the students did as well.
Read Section 3 and complete the Note Taking Worksheet (IN 79) for section 3. Be sure to finish Chapter 3 vocabulary. Our next test is Wednesday, Oct. 8. The test will be on Chapter 9. STudents should start studying their chapter vocabulary this week.
