7th Grade Science:

6th period did not meet today due to HC festivities.  Please continue to work on your Meiosis foldables.  You will be in homeroom a good portion of tomorrow morning.  This would be a good time for you to finish up your foldable.  They are due Monday.

We will be doing several lab activities next week as we learn about DNA.  As always, lab supplies are needed.  You may earn extra credit coupons for each of the following items you bring to class. Supplies are needed by Wednesday.

Life Science
Monday:  Students will begin a Meiosis WEbQUESt.  Students may bring their laptops if they wish.  Students will complete the activity on Tuesday.  Students will complete a left side reflection for IN 93.  I will grade the Mitosis Short Stories rom IN 90 and the Lab Report from IN 91 on Monday.

Tuesday:  Homework:  Mitosis Test on Wednesday.  Students should study IN 89 and IN 85 for the test.  BE able to identify four stages of mitosis from drawings and identify what happens in each stage.

Wednesday:  Mitosis Test;  After the test students will watch an EdTed video on Gender Determination and begin a Foldable on Meiosis.  We will work on the foldable in class on Thursday as well.

Biology:
Monday:  Ch 6 Section 3 Notes:  Macromolecules; Continue work in Macromolecule Foldable: Due Wednesday

LIfe Science:

The Virus Cereal Boxes were fabulous!  I am so proud of the work the 7th grade did for this project. I learned many new things about viruses as I'm sure the students did as well.
Read Section 3 and complete the Note Taking Worksheet (IN 79)  for section 3.  Be sure to finish Chapter 3 vocabulary.  Our next test is Wednesday, Oct. 8.  The test will be on Chapter 9. STudents should start studying their chapter vocabulary this week.
